Loula Client Referrals Program

Updated over a month ago

The Loula Referrals Program is designed to connect clients looking for doulas with our network of doulas.

Important:

  • The program is free and offered as a pro bono service to doulas and clients.

  • Loula does not guarantee referrals. While some doulas may receive multiple inquiries, others may receive few or none.

  • Loula does not charge doulas for referrals.

  • Out of courtesy, respond to all referrals, even if you are not able to take the referral on.

How It Works

  1. Your Loula Directory Profile

  2. Client Intake Form & Notifications

    • When a client submits an intake form through your profile, you will receive an email notification.

    • These notifications come from [email protected].

    • You are responsible for following up with the client directly to schedule a consultation.

  3. Client and Doula's Choice

    • A client may contact multiple doulas before making their decision.

    • You are not obligated to take-on all Loula referrals -- you also have choice.

    • It is up to you to communicate with the client and move the process forward.

Creating a Client

  • Once you and the client agree to work together, you should create the client in Loula.

  • At that point, Loula will run insurance verification for the client using the information they provided.

  • Loula does not verify a client’s insurance before passing the referral to you. The referral simply indicates the client’s interest in working with you.

  • There is no guarantee that Loula can bill for a referred client. Every referred client still needs to go through the same insurance verification process as any other client.
