Credentialing

An overview of the Credentialing page

Updated today

Credentialing

The lefthand navigation bar includes a Credentialing page, where you will find 3 sections:

  • Credentialed: Plans you are already credentialed with

  • In Progress: Plans you are in the process of being credentialed with

  • Requested: Plans you’ve requested

On the Credentialing page, you can also access the Health Plan Directory, which you can access by clicking Explore/Request plans. There, you can view a list of all the health plans Loula works with.

How many health plans can I request at once?

You can request up to 3 plans at a time. Once those applications are in progress, you can request additional plans.

How do I remove a health plan?

Go to the Credentialing page and find the plan you want to remove. Click "I don't want to work with this plan." You can do this at any stage.

I'm part of a doula group. How do I add or remove a health plan?

Group plans are managed by your group owner. Contact them directly to add or remove a plan.

What are the statuses of the health plans I have selected?

Health Plans can have the following statuses:

Credentialed

  • This plan is currently active. You may start taking on clients that have this health plan and submitting visits.

Action Needed

  • This means that you need to fill out additional documentation to move forward with credentialing for this plan.

Requested

  • Your request for this plan is under review. We're confirming it fits your service area and checking whether we're accepting new doulas.

In Progress

  • We’ve approved your request and are working to put together your application. No action is needed from you at this time.

Reviewing

  • We're reviewing the credentialing packet you signed and attested to. We will reach out if any action is required.

Waiting on Plan

  • Your information has been submitted to the health plan. We're waiting on the next steps from them.

Waitlisted

  • You're in the queue for this plan. We'll notify you when it's your turn. We don't recommend counting on this plan for upcoming clients.

Delayed

  • We will communicate with you when there’s an unexpected delay to your credentialing.

  • If so, you will receive an email update with more details, and your credentialing status will be updated to “Delayed.”

Paused

  • This is an administrative status we may use to indicate that your credentialing is paused. We will send you separate comms via email about why your credentialing is paused.
